Cookie Policy

Last updated: 3 November 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on hodgesbay.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What we use

Our website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. It stores a small number of items in your browser’s local or session storage, which work in a similar way to cookies:

Name	Purpose	How long it lasts
hbCookieConsent	Remembers whether you accepted or declined cookies, so the banner does not reappear on every page.	Until you clear your browser data
hbchat_session_id	A random identifier that links your chat messages into one conversation.	Until you clear your browser data
hbchat_history	Keeps your chat conversation visible as you move between pages.	Until you close the browser tab

Analytics and advertising

If we introduce analytics or advertising tools in future, such as Google Analytics or the Meta pixel, they will load only if you click “Accept” on our cookie banner, and we will update this policy before doing so. Choosing “Decline” does not affect your ability to use the website.

Third-party cookies

The Google Map on our homepage is provided by Google, which may set its own cookies when the map loads. When you follow a link to our booking engine, OpenTable, imenupro menus or social media sites, those services may set cookies under their own policies.

Managing your choices

You can change your choice at any time with the button below, which clears your saved choice so the banner appears again. You can also block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; some features, such as keeping your chat conversation between pages, may then stop working.
